PARIS Travel Guide

I just spent two weeks in Paris and had the best time ever. There was work, play, and lots of chicness. The first part of my trip was dedicated to the interior design shows in Paris, particularly the Deco Off and Masion Et Object shows. My best childhood friend Courtney (who is also an interior designer and owner of the fabulous LA based design firm Elysienne) spearheaded this trip, and I am so grateful to her for doing so! It was so nice to spend time admiring beauty with her as she likes to nerd out about fabrics and chairs like I do  There was so much incredible inspiration at every turn– I definitely came away with tons of fabrics and pieces that I’m excited to incorporate into new projects!!

My sister Tara came last minute for a few days so that we could rendezvous around Paris– she is a travel blogger so she’s constantly running around and eating EVERY SECOND. Lol. The last part of my trip rounded out with my boyfriend meeting me for lots of love and fun. I wanted to share some of my Paris musts with you guys that are traveling there soon! There are so many restaurants, cafes and shops that it’s hard to go wrong or squeeze everything in one trip!

Shop some of my Paris inspired picks below. And here is my travel diary + guide to PARIS ::

Stay ::

Peninsula Hotel Paris – During this trip I stayed at the Peninsula Paris, located in the 8th. I absolutely loved it — check out my post on the hotel and my experience at their spa!

Eat ::

Hotel Costes / L’Avenue / La Societe – these are all owned by the Costes group and have similar menus. Hotel Costes is my favorite of them all. Situated in the inner courtyard of the hotel, it is the place to be all day/everyday. The club sandwich, sole, frites, framboise and cheesecake are all sensational, and my favorite drinks are rose of course and their margaritas!

Castiglione – Chicest little cafe. Great for breakfast, lunch and people watching. And an amazing burger.

Ralph’s – This is Ralph Lauren’s fabulous restaurant in Paris. It is amazing for brunch. Everything on the menu is delicious. The decor is very Ralph. The outdoor patio is perfect for a sunny day.

Cafe de Flore – A Parisian institution. Go for breakfast or for a coffee. Post an insta pic of your cup

Carrete – Go to the Trocadero location for breakfast and make sure you get a macaroon.

Claus – Cute little cafe for breakfast with a takeaway version across the street.

Cafe Kitsune – Go for a coffee and enjoy it as you walk  in the gardens of Palais Royal.

Ferdi – best burger EVER. I literally dream about it!!

Le Relais de L’Entrecote – Paris institution for steak frites in the special secret sauce. Just be careful they give you two servings so save room!

Caviar Kaspa – chicest caviar restaurant. Get ready for lots of vodka and caviar. And you must order the caviar baked potato.. it is heavenly!!!

Le Voltaire – old tiny restaurant. The entire menu is in french. All of the tables are squished together. But it is definitely one of my favorites!!!

Monsieur Bleu – Beautiful restaurant design by Joseph Dirand (my favorite). Must go!

Matignon – fun trendy for dinner and club downstairs

L’as Du Fallafel – This is the BEST falafel you will ever have, get the vegetarian special sandwich, it’s sooo good.

Sweets ::

Laduree – macaroons and Rose Saint Honore are my favorites!!

Pierre Herme – Ladurees only macaroon competition!

Meert – Go for these delicious soft wafers filled with cream… they are to die for!!!

Maison du Cou – Fresh cream puffs made right on the spot!

Popelini – This little patisserie has a few spots around Paris, and they make little treats which are a cross between a cream puff and an eclair– my favorite flavor was the rose obviously.

Barthillon Ice Cream – the BEST ice cream in Paris, which comes on chic skinny ice cream cones

Tea time ::

Peninsula Hotel – best scones I’ve ever had!!

Plaza Athenee – chic tea time

Shop ::

Colette – This is where all the cool kids shop. Dope selection of high and and low end clothes and accessories.

Merci – This spot in Le Marais has everything from home goods, to clothes, to gadgets, along with 3 cafes inside.

Montaigne Market

Just buy anything made in France!!!!!

Museums ::

Versailles – One of my favorite places on Earth!!!!!!

Musee Picasso – This spot in Le Marais has everything from home goods, to clothes, to gadgets, along with 3 cafes inside.

Musee d’Orsay – This incredible museum on the left bank used to be a railway station, and it’s beyond beautiful.

Musee de Arts Decoratifs – Right off of Rue Rivoli, this design museum is everything.
